No excuses… I haven’t posted in awhile. DUH. But I’m here to make it up to you. Miami has inspired me to get back into the swing of things, and writing blog posts on EHusky is just something that I love. So now I’m going to hit you with a few tunes that have been rockin’ my world recently. Trust me, you will not be let down.
.) Make Some Noise (Original Mix) – JDG & JayyFresh - This song changed my life. Plain and simple. Many of you may listen and think to yourselves: “Is this dude crazy?” Well, I can’t really put a finger on why I love it so much, but the drop is fresh and imaginative, and if you play this for a live audience, everyone will display their “ooooh” face. It’s been tried and proven; John Dahlback opened with it at Club Glow in DC recently. Disclaimer: You’re going to get much more out of this tune at a high volume on good speakers.
.) Everybody (Denzal Park Remix) – Pnau - Denzal Park is very good at producing a wide array of sounds, and this one happens to fall into that mainstream, uplifting category that we are all so familiar with. This track is all about togetherness, and it just feels good to listen to.
.) Tombo (Original Mix) – Dannic – Minimal, tropical, and heavy. In my opinion, this is the evil alter-ego of Nicky Romero’s “Camorra”.
.) Who Is Ready To Jump (Dzeko & Torres Remix) – Chuckie – This is a great remix of a classic jam, and by far my favorite version. Hardened electro synths and a bouncy bassline give this all the necessary tools to make any crowd want to jump up and down.
.) String Thing (Original Mix) – Shadow Child – Let me start by saying that this is not the type of song you’re used to hearing me post. It’s very dark and chill, and it is reminiscent of my recent immersion into the tech house scene. Slowly I’ll ease the EHusky readers into it as well.
