My first question is: Why are these guys not more famous? Primacy Funk, consisting of three people from Holland and Norway, has dubbed themselves the “Two Nation Army”. With silky smooth beats and lush piano melodies, it appears as though they might be the most favorable army in the world. After they sent me this track I couldn’t get enough. It starts off with a light and airy piano chord progression, and eventually breaks down into an action-packed electro anthem. Definitely check these dudes out, and be sure to share their music. Without further adieu…
Let’s Go (Mats Gulbrandsen & Primacy Funk Remix) – Calvin Harris ft. Ne-Yo
It feels good to finally be back in the swing of things after Spring Break, bringing Thirsty Thursday Thumps to your dorms and apartments in a timely manner this week. Today is a special day for EHusky, as UConn’s own newspaper, The Daily Campus, featured an article about us. Hopefully it will help gain and foster more support from UConn’s student population, but the recognition is always appreciated even if it doesn’t. Special thanks to Tom Teixeira and The Daily Campus for making it possible, and now, without further adieu, let there be jams!
Too Close (Nadastrom Remix) – Alex Clare- Dubstep meets dirty dutch in an unlikely, yet highly entertaining union. Add in some soulful vocals and you’ve got a great track on your hands. Note: This is more mellow; you may want it for the late-night setting.
Because Of You (Original Club Mix) – Feng Shui ft. Max’C - “Im so excited, can’t control myself” may not be what you say when you’re heading to Huskies or Teds, but you might be thinking it when you realize that you won’t be worrying about school work for at least a few hours.
Free To Go (Le Que & Martin Volt Remix) – Alex Sayz ft. Nadia Ali - Martin Volt is fresh off the release of “Zelda” with NO_ID, and Nadia Ali’s vocals always amplify the greatness of any progressive house track. Don’t miss any track wielding influences from both parties.
More (Original Club Mix) – Edhim & Roger Slato ft. Trarius - This tune is a bit deeper, but still falls heavily within the boundaries of progressive house with crisp piano and huge synths. What separates this track are Trarius’ R&B-inspired vocals.
Horny (Mats Gulbrandsen & Primacy Funk 2012 Remix) – Mousse T- Who doesn’t get horny when they hear acid house infused with bit of disco? Turn this one up and let it rip!
Burning Fuse – DJ Cruz - Falsely labeled as a collaboration between Afrojack and Swedish House Mafia on the Internet (really, people??), this track has gotten around quite quickly. Fortunately, EHusky is here to set the record straight and provide you with the correct song tags. “Burning Fuse” is a mesmerizing anthem that will leave you with a smile on your face and a fist in the air. Enjoy…
